When read in the context of Bruce Wiseman's letter, Laura Kay Fuller's Thesis regarding Scientology's ultimate goals - to "Get Ethics In On The Planet" and then "Clear It" - raises concerns. This thesis argues that Scientology, as an ideology, is moving in a totalitarian direction. Totalitarianism is an extreme form of control of thought, behaviour and interaction. The desire of totalitarianism is complete homogenization. As an ideology, it aims at eliminating difference, so that no variations can exist
